Having lived in San Francisco for 30 years, I've embraced its rich history, shaped by its cultural diversity. Some aspect of my life has touched all 10 Districts. It's been a microcosm of our social changes over the last 68 years. From the Civil Rights Movement to the Equal Opportunity ACT, Women's Rights, and Gay Pride. Along with the Summer of Love, Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco rock and roll at Fillmore West, DISCO in FRISCO, the first Woman Mayor, and the first Black Mayor. The first Super Bowl for the 49ers, Pope John Paul II's visit, and so much more. The Summer of Love kept the love going and growing for San Francisco, a beautiful rainbow of hope for all.
